TERM PROJECT

Introduction

For the term project, I will be developing a fighting game called 'Universal Combat' mainly for 2 players where the player would be able to fight against the opponent using various moves such as punch, kick, and maybe some special abilities. A game is supposed to be enjoyable and give a virtual experience to the players for them to relax and kill boredom. Thus, the development of this game is for the players to have fun and enjoyable moments playing a fighting game in simple interfaces that are easy to understand. Although there are many games out there with the same concept, what makes every game unique is the way developers execute and design the game.

Concept

Players can choose any fighter and each fighter has its own unique skill and traits. Every player has a health bar and energy bar and can choose 1 option for each turn. The attack moves such as punch, kick and others have a range of damage dealt and take a certain amount of energy. Therefore, the players need to choose their options carefully to dominate the game.

Background
This game is set somewhere in an unknown universe where fighters from all around the universe are summoned to battle against each other.

Characters

Satori
Satori is a Japanese character inspired by an action anime called Bleach. He mastered various sword techniques at a young age. He gained the title "Honoured Warrior" during a great war fighting for the sake of his country. He died in a standing position with his sword drenched with the blood of his fallen enemies holding his body from falling to the ground.

Chong Wei

Chong Wei is a Chinese character inspired by a legendary tale in Malaysia. Living his life as a professional athlete, he swore to make history in the world of sports. Being defeated many times never did once he told himself to give up and instead continue to train harder. After training for decades, he reached a point exceeding an average human potential.

Hang Jebat

Born in Malacca, an old country in Southeast Asia as one of the infamous 11 Legendary Admirals for their undeniable strengths. He was loyal, especially to his precious comrades who fought alongside him. He was killed by his great comrade, Hang Tuah for revolting against the Sultan of Malacca. He was called a traitor to the country but died as a brave warrior to the locals.

Emperor Qin

Born as an emperor and the creator of the first unified Chinese empire. Known for his interest in immortality, and for his contribution to the Great Wall of China Seeking knowledge to achieve immortality, he studied forbidden magic and was cursed. Due to his curse, he is able to summon terracotta soldiers from the earth. When using Emperor Wrath, Emperor Qin summons an army of terracotta soldiers dealing 19 - 24 damages to his opponent.

Game flow
The players will first be directed to a Menu Page displayed with a few options such as "Play", "Training", and "Exit" for the players to choose. 
During the start of the gameplay, each fighter's fixed attributes such as Health and Energy are set to 100. Each player has one turn to choose any move and each move requires a certain amount of energy to be used. When one of the fighter's health reaches a value of zero or below, the gameplay will end. Then, the program will display the result of the batter showing which player is the winner and the scores obtained.
